Change Is in the Air

Welcome to my blog. I decided to start this blog in order to flex my "writing fingers," something I haven't done much in recent years. However, I don't have a profound philosophy that has changed my life, like one of my friends. I don't live in a fascinating tropical place, like another friend whose blog I read, that everyone wants to know more about. So why would you want to read my blog? I guess that's up to you to decide. ;) So, without further ado, here I go:

I am the kind of person who doesn't like change. It  makes me nervous when I don't know what to expect. I'd much rather be comfortable than stick my neck out and do something risky. It's my personality; the way I've always been.

And yet, at this point in my life, I'm itching for change. Big changes, small changes... from major life changes to changing my hair. (My husband thinks I'm going through a mid-life crisis... but of course I'm nowhere near old enough for that!) It's a total 180 from the way I normally think. Which leads me to believe that God is preparing me for change. What kind, I can't say. I can tell you that I've been praying for God's clear direction in all of this. I have some ideas about some of the changes, but the one thing I can say with certainty is that I want to be where God wants me to be, no matter where that is.

I've been asking Him for some BIG things. Things that look like they couldn't be done, from a human perspective. Things that don't seem to make sense, from a human perspective. But I'm trusting in this verse:

"God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!" Eph 3:20, The Message

He may not give me exactly what I ask for, but I believe, without a doubt, that He will give me what I need.

Stay tuned....
